A native of Syracuse, New York, Askia comes from a family of gifted artists — from his mother’s artistry to his daughter now following in his footsteps — proving that talent runs deep in his roots. Always destined for greatness, Askia has spent decades delivering quality designs and merchandise to his customers. How Our Youth Mentorship Program is Empowering the Next Generation



For decades our powerful youth mentorship program has been opening doors for young people to explore careers in fashion, beauty, and the arts. More than just a skills workshop, this initiative is designed to cultivate both professional development and personal growth, ensuring participants gain the tools to build meaningful futures.



The program offers hands-on experience across a wide spectrum of industries. Youth are introduced to clothing design, modeling, digital graphics, videography, photography, inventory control, packing and shipping, and customer service skills. Each area provides not only technical training but also a chance to discover hidden talents, strengthen confidence, and nurture creativity.


A defining feature of the program is its mentorship model. Each small group of youth is paired with an industry professional who provides guidance, role-specific training, and personalized encouragement. This one-on-one approach ensures that every participant feels supported as they navigate new challenges and opportunities.
